[POSITION SUMMARY] The Benefits Director is a strategic partner to the business who plays a key role in developing and implementing the short- and long-term benefits strategy of the organization. S/he provides program management for complex benefits projects, and plays an integral role in the planning, design and analysis of benefit programs.Job Family Description: Designs, implements, and monitors human capital programs and policies including total rewards, talent management, learning and development, recruitment and employee relations. Anticipates and plans for long-term people-related needs and trends. Ensures current employees have the necessary skills for future requirements. Maintains HR information systems.Job Function Description: Develops, evaluates, administers and maintains payroll systems and processes and benefits plans and programs. Ensures the accurate and timely payment of payroll and payroll-related charges are in compliance with internal policy and external regulations. Analyzes, audits, reconciles and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing. Provides counseling and information to employees and managers regarding benefits programs and policies. Evaluates and negotiates contracts with providers and works with external vendors to administer benefits systems and programs.Level Definition: Assists with the development of, and plays a key role in the implementation of, Benefits strategy Manages large, complex product areas, projects and processes Develops new and/or improves existing processes and procedures May oversee a small team as a team leader [POSITION DUTIES] forward strategies. Evaluates all vendor proposals and RFPs, leads negotiation on contracts and provides strategic oversight and support for key vendor relationships. Identifies and recommends process or system improvements designed to help achieve strategic benefits objectives.,? Identifies complex benefits issues and efficiency opportunities and develops innovative and effective solutions.related policies, procedures and other related documentation or materials. Provides oversight for the implementation of benefits strategies including change management, communication, systems integrations and other impacted components. Serves as strategic lead on largest, most complex strategic benefits projects.




12-15 years Strategic planning, program design, implementation and management.

5-9 years Experience in program or project management roles involving complex projects with multiple dimensions, numerous stakeholders and aggressive timelines.

9-12 years Experience in benefits strategy and design.


Ability to develop a benefits strategy that is aligned with critical priorities of the business.

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously.

Ability to react appropriately under pressure, the ability to negotiate and apply good judgment in ambiguous situations, and demonstrated flexibility/adaptability.

Advanced technology and computer skills, with ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Exceptionally detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Familiarity with benefits regulatory, compliance, legislative and market issues, and a clear understanding of the impact of changes on current and future programs.

Highly articulate with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and strong executive presence.

Proficient in Benefits Administration and Payroll systems, Microsoft Office Word, Power Point and Excel, as well as Human Capital Management (HCM) systems (e.g., People Soft, ADP).

Significant experience in identifying, designing, and planning complex projects involving benefit plans and programs, and administrative solutions.Solid business acumen and strategic thinker with excellent grasp of the financial and economic drivers of the overall business.,\

Strong conceptual, planning, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

[EDUCATION] Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in HR, Business, Accounting/Finance or related discipline,Master's Degree in HR, Business, Accounting/Finance or related discipline
