The CRE Relationship Manager (RM) has direct client responsibility or provides support to a direct sales team with a concentration in project based construction lending. The incumbent assists as liaison between the Relationship Management Team, Internal Partners, Vendors, and the client. The RM has a direct portfolio or proactively supports existing and new client acquisition activities, helping resolve complex issues. RM assists in the coordination of the credit approval process for loans or the sales process for non-credit sales, as well as complying with internal policies and procedures. The RM services and enhances the existing customer experience by using independent judgment in meeting the various needs of the client. The RM actively consults with, and follows up with, the onboarding of all new clients. Monitors key risk indicators within the portfolio of clients including, past dues, changes to the clients risk profile, or service issues, and takes action as appropriate. This position may work with an ARM or AM in gathering financial and other information to formulate strategies to generate revenue via credit and non-credit products.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Consult with customers in all aspects of servicing the portfolio, takes appropriate action to manage and retain the portfolio

  • Take initiative and utilizes independent judgment to resolve issues

  • Sales reporting and compliance reporting

  • Provides support in meeting all compliance and due diligence requirements including KYC protocols

  • Proactively develops with the Relationship Management Team (RM) the sourcing and prospecting of existing or new clients through direct calling, referrals, centers of influence, or intermediaries

  • Main contact with clients or vendors to obtain and provide information to internal teams to assist in the origination and underwriting process

  • Cross sell

  • Commercial Real Estate knowledge and experience

  • Self-starter, can do attitude, adaptable, problem solver, strong time management, good interpersonal skills

  • 7 years of prior banking experience

  • Sales accumen/experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work in a team environment and consult with clients

  • Strong analytical training and the ability to implement and interpret policies and procedures

  • Solid industry and market knowledge

  • Strong computer literacy skills, proficient with the MS office package

  • Strong customer service skills and an ability to use independent judgment to solve problems

  • Capable of managing a client portfolio.
